In February 2008 Dar Al-Hekma College
(DAHC), the first private college for women in the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia, and the Jeddah Institute for Speech and Hearing (JISH) executed
an agreement to increase access and advance academic, clinical and
professional excellence in order to better serve our communities and
the society. The partnership will allow the two institutions to
collaborate in the areas of Recruitment and Exchange of Faculty and
Staff, Student Training (for Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences
students in the Special Education Department), Continuing Education
(for JISH staff members) and Joint Research and Publication.

we are excited about the innovative curriculum that offers a foundation
in clinical skills development”, said Linda Mack Brewer, Ph.D.,
Coordinator of the Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences Program of
Study. “The partnership with JISH will help us to transform the way we
educate the future generations of speech and hearing professionals in
the
Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia
”.
